vermont and the connecticut river valley

so much great landscape; so much great eighteenth and nineteenth century architecture ---  too much to photograph ---









the old road, out of which today's u.s. 5 evolved, survives in a lot of places
wherever this was taken, the old unpaved road, the railroad, and the river run the same narrow corridor, maybe a thousand feet wide
