wishing for spring

windy dog

they've planted 20,000 daffodils in woodruff park, part of an international holocaust memorial --- it's purty great and an echo of the wonderful tulip festivals they held in hurt park in the 1950s ---
tulips are nice but they don't naturalize the way daffodils will --- the only issue with having perpetual daffodils is maintenance crews running lawnmowers over them as soon as they quit blooming, a problem they've apparently had at oakland cemetery

hopefully hurt park will get the love it deserves when the streetcar line becomes operational.
