throwing it all away with both fists
every day, it just gets worse and worse, but yesterday's event in the rose garden announcing our exit of the paris accords was a real low point --- he gave what the rude one described as an "extravagantly stupid speech," and oh it was --- full of lies delivered with his maddeningly idiotic syntax and fifth-grade vocabulary ---
"as someone who cares deeply about the environment," this deeply ignorant man wondered, "at what point does America get demeaned? at what point do they start laughing at us as a country?"
indeed ---
no, most of the world respects america too much to laugh and are just sad to see what we're doing to ourselves --- just over 58% of eligible citizens actually voted last November, and trump got just over 46% of those --- put another way, just over a quarter of the electorate put us in this predicament --- that is the long-term problem
in the meantime, the united states's fall as a great power has come just as fast and just as dramatically as the collapse of the soviet union thirty years ago --- we may or may not recover ---
