spring! redux

in addition to reveling in the jasmine and being depressed about iraq, i spent over two hours getting my driver's license renewed, which cannot be done on line in order to satisfy the republican's "real id" bullshit act --- it is ironic that the party that claims to be all about personal freedom has led the way to a police state --- those wonderful hours with my fellow atlantans were spent at the georgia department of driver "services" on capitol avenue, the only office in the entire city of atlanta --- standing room only, and it was the same the two other times i dropped by there and turned around and left --- i can't imagine that they are like that state-wide --- is this another way to punish atlanta, too?
