poor trees, poor people

another one of the giant water oaks around the lake is gone, this one on the south side --- i need to do an inventory, but  i think there aren't but two or three of them left --
meanwhile most of the block between tenth and eleventh streets, west of piedmont avenue, has been slated for re-development --- that's another big chunk of the historic built environment gone, and with it a whole lot of affordable apartments --- and all the trees
i'm not sure if the re-development will get as far as this magnificent red oak on eleventh street, but i'm afraid that it will
