i've waited for years for this image -- sent by an internet acquaintance who acquired it from descendants of wilbur kurtz, whose family first occupied the house when it was new in 1912 --- i knew what the first-floor porch balustrades were like, but the porch roof balustrade, in a different design, is a revelation ---
