the randolph-lucas house, or what's left of it, has been moved to its new lot on peachtree place --- atlanner considers it a victory for historic preservation --- i don't think so --- a victory for art history perhaps, but not historic preservation
the ultimate irony of this all is that the owner of the lot behind it on peachtree has been planning a highrise mandarin oriental for his property and the r.l. house will once again be overshadowed by an hulking tower!
