the closing on purchase of metropolis 1308 was on 8 december 2005 --- the sale of 394 sinclair did not close until 19 december, which is not the ideal order for real estate transactions --- this was the scene on the 9th, as i began bringing things over in the evenings after work --- "danny delivers" delivered all the big stuff on the 13th --- I never actually met danny, just talked on the phone, which was always a great experience --- real brusque, but a good soul --- he was murdered in his office in september 2008 --- the dendrobium there to the right has never rebloomed --- except for that, seven years on, i am still so very glad that i traded 394 for 1308

i loved living at 394 for nearly thirty years and am proud of the way i left it, but i don't miss living there
